The dual-monitor Mac stations are equipped to handle digital projects small and large. Take advantage of Adobe products to edit photos and videos, use Audacity or Garageband to create and edit audio, or enjoy the extra desktop space for multitasking.

The following tools are located in the bay of lockers in the Digital Studio. The keys for them are available for checkout from the circulation desk. The items are examined between checkouts for damage and to delete media left on the devices.

Sewing & Embroidery
Burling Library has a Brother SE700 sewing and embroidery machine available for students along with a variety of threads. Sample fabric scraps are also available for practicing with techniques and tools. A small ironing board and clothes iron are available to ensure fabric is flat & wrinkle-free.
Knitting & Crochet
The library also has knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops, a bead loom, yarn, thread, and other accessories for textile work. Feel free to begin or work on a project with the materials available!
3D Printing
Burling Library is happy to provide free 3D printer usage (yes, free!) to staff, faculty, and students for reasonable academic use. If you need assistance with printing, please schedule a time with Max Schafer.

3D Scanning
The Digital Studio also has a 3-D Scanner available by appointment by reaching out to Max (schaferm@grinnell.edu), typically between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
